Retro WavGirl
Ahh, the good old days. For those of you who have followed this site from its infancy, you will remember
this journey down my virtual memory lane.

1996
Memory: "The Wav Girl Experience" begins. A much lower-resolution version of the pink background tiled the main screen,
black and white photos, and colorful 100X100 buttons listed for each area of the site.

the most complete version I was able to recover from the original 1996 home page. The links work, but many
of the images disappeared long ago.

The original WavGirl logo, and the first image I ever created.

With the dawn of Link Exchange, I created my first meticulously-sized banner.

When the first banner did not seem to draw any hits, I created what I believed to be
an enticing banner which focused on the love and sex columns.
1997
Memory: Animated GIFs were everywhere! The "weird" section was added, which included jokes and the infamous "find the spam"
game.

Moo the fish lived on the site until 2000, when the first big remodel took place.
Click his tank to feed him once again, as in 1997-2000.
The art gallery lasted until 1999.
1998
Memory: The focus was shifted to downloads. Everyone was browsing the MIDI and WAV collections and asking me to add
more files to the "goodies" page - home of the purple cow.
Each page of the site had a different theme and color scheme, as well as a MIDI playing in the background.
People were still e-mailing me regularly to ask how I added "music" to my site, and I ended up creating a how-to FAQ
for different HTML tricks.
Click here to view one of the most popular themes,
which was implemented onto the WAVs page.
Click here to listen to the WavGirl Theme, sent to me by a regular
visitor. The theme still remains a part of this site.

At 57 KB, the full-size version of this background seemed to take forever to load. However, it seemed perfect for
the first "About WavGirl" page.
1999
Memory: The site became easier to navigate, as its first menu was implemented. The pink background was tinted into a patchwork
of pastel colors.
This logo signified a turning point.
2000-2001
Memory: On February 14, 2000, WavGirl.Com was purchased. It began as a forwarder to the AOL site, but by 2001 hosting was added. Thus
began the painstaking process of editing and uploading every file to another location.
2002-2005
Memory: The WedSite and BabySite became popular, and the first streaming cams were introduced (eventually leading
to the creation of the cam site).

The charm bracelet would remain on the WavGirl.Com intro. until 2005. Each charm represented a different site on the
domain.
