A Fresh Coat
I spent a long time yesterday changing this site so it could be integrated with the rest of WavGirl.Com. I found myself looking through a lot of the updates we had made, and I looked around to see what else needed to be done. I’d like to paint the doors and door frames in the upstairs hallway, so I’ll start that in the near future. Today, I painted the entryway and downstairs hallway. The paint I found matched the existing color very well, so it was very easy (even though I had to buy a roller extension to reach the high ceilings). It looks glossy and very clean now. I discovered two new products during this process. The first, Rubbermaid Premium Trimline Edger, was completely useless. I’d rather spend time with painter’s tape than deal wih the frustration of trying to make that tool work. However, the other product was amazing.
The brand is called Zinsser, and it is a spray ceiling touch-up paint. There was a huge mark on the ceiling above the stairs that was a real eye sore (especially because it’s an area you see when first walking through the front door), but I didn’t want to re-paint ceilings just for that. This spray covered everything.
A representative from our cable company came to the door today and offered us a good deal on a security system and service since we have their complete package already. That will be installed this weekend. I had seen commercials, but assumed it was too expensive.
