The Heat Wave
It seems that no matter how much our local forecast calls for cooler weather, every day tops 80 degrees at some point. The twins had their last day of school last week, and we were left with a huge stack of papers. I hung a large corkboard, tiled it with four of their larger paintings, then let them pick which art they wanted to tack up there. It is a really nice, personal touch for a wall that was otherwise bare:
As the heat continued to plague us through the weekend, I decided to get the easy set pool out of storage. We bought it on clearance last year at the end of the season for about $50.00 (I love Micah’s employee discount). We planned to save it for a few years, but it became evident that the kids could enjoy it now. We had one of these in MA that never filled up evenly, so I was surprised at how well this set up turned out:
