My name is Laura. I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I spent 12 years in Catholic school before continuing on to a state university. I graduated cum laude in 2003, earning a BA in English concentrated in Professional Writing. I returned to college several years later, and graduated summa cum laude with a Certificate of Web Technology. I hope to pursue a career as a web copy editor, but for the time being, I am a proud stay at home mom! It is a blessing, and I appreciate every moment with my children.
I met Micah in 1999, when we were both 18 years old. We were engaged that year, and married in 2001. After a long journey of failed infertility treatments and seven pregnancy losses, we have been blessed with four healthy children.
I have relocated several times, but finally settled down to stay in upstate New York. It is the perfect place for my family. When I have time to pursue my interests, I enjoy working on home improvements, writing, walking, photography, watching old movies, and of course, web design.
WavGirl.Com began as an AOL Hometown page in 1996. My 2001 wedding brought the onset of personal sections such as Our Family Life and Our Home Life. The site expanded, but the WavGirl name stuck. I am too sentimental to let it go!
Today, WavGirl.Com is all about finding beauty in the world and appreciating every moment I have with my family. I hope you enjoy it, and that it inspires you to enjoy life's little moments.
